“Until all are free” – Intersectionality & anti-oppression: introduction & practice

Course

13th November, Wednesday

Zoom

On the 13th and 23rd of November, you are invited to join a two-part workshop to explore Intersectionality and Anti-oppression.

For whom?

Anyone! Whether you’ve only ever heard of the terms, read a couple of pieces about them, encountered tensions connected to them, or are looking for ways to educate people around you on these topics, this workshop will hopefully bring you materials & ideas to keep moving forward.

Registration is open before the 25th of October!

What are the goals of these workshops? Hopefully, by the end of the two sessions, you will:

  • – Feel comfortable with the notion of intersectionality, as in seeing its scope, limitations and transformative potential
  • – Have started exploring your own experience both as oppressor and victim of oppression
  • – Have drawn some of your own connections between intersectionality and anti-oppression work in a clear and empowering manner
  • – Have discovered tools & practices that will have the potential to stay with you in the work ahead
  • – Have experienced a discussion and exploration of these topics in a group setting
  • – Have found renewed confidence and excitement to work on liberation, with all its quirks, challenges and beauty!
