What does nonviolence really mean?

There is a joke amongst training collectives and facilitators; if we ever have extra time during a workshop we can always try defining nonviolence – that debate never ends! Undeterred by this, The Movement Hub invites you to a skillshare session to explore the history of nonviolent movements, how violence is defined differently in various forms of action, and what research tells us. We don’t think anyone will ever settle this never ending debate, but at least we can give you a nuanced footing as you continue to discuss this in your groups and create a space where we can reflect on what we feel is justified in our movements.
