Interpreting for social movements (ONL)

Many activists find themselves pushed in the role of interpreters (simultaneous translators) as part of their activism because they know several languages and it’s all of a sudden needed in a meeting. But they lack the skills and learning space to grow more comfortable with the practice (without becoming professionals) and the community to grow their language and technical skills. This in turn makes their groups’ and movements’ work harder and less accessible because the language barrier is one of the most invisible but pervasive ones.

Join this online workshop on Thursday 14th of December, 7 to 9pm CET, with onboarding at 6.30pm to learn more.

No previous experience required, just the ability to work with at least two languages.
